CoinShares Reports 464% Surge in Income for H1 2021
CoinShares International Limited (CoinShares), Europe's largest digital asset investment firm, has released its interim financial results for the six months ending on 30 June 2021, disclosing that its total comprehensive income reached £58.7 million, compared to that of H1 2020 at £10.4 million.
CoinShares outlined that its EBITDA boomed to £62.8 million, achieving a margin of 85%, with a YoY increase of 58%. As for the assets under management (AUM), the figure increased to £2.2 billion. In comparison, the AUM was £1.7 billion as at December 31, 2020. Besides, its net asset stood at £128.3 million.
“Following an exceptionally strong Q1 report, we have built on that momentum and reported the strongest Q2 in our Group’s history. This was accomplished despite the market volatility and digital asset price erosion,” Jean-Marie Mognetti, Chief Executive Officer of CoinShares, commented on the results.
Last month, Fazzaco reported that CoinShares has acquired the ETF index business from Elwood Technologies.
