Colmex Pro Exits Retail CFDs, Halts New Client Onboarding

Cyprus-based broker Colmex Pro will cease offering retail contracts for difference (CFDs) and stop onboarding new clients for these products.

The broker stated its exit from the CFD market is part of a strategic shift toward long-term investment products and market access solutions, with a new focus on equities, ETFs, and other exchange-traded instruments.

CEO Nicos Vasiliou noted that while CFDs have been significant, the firm sees growing importance in more transparent products suited for long-term investors.

Vasiliou, who assumed leadership in late 2024, brings a compliance background from his tenure at the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

The company believes future growth lies with firms offering straightforward market access through less complex products aligned with investor interests.

Vasiliou added that the decision reflects a commitment to building a platform focused on transparency, sustainability, and long-term client value through exchange-traded products.
