Compagnie Financière Tradition Hires Michel Everaert as Global Head of E-Commerce and Digitalization

Compagnie Financière Tradition (CFT, or "Tradition"), one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in OTC financial and commodity related products, has appointed Michel Everaert as its new Global Head of E-Commerce and Digitalization. Everaert, an accomplished industry veteran, will join the company's senior management team and be responsible for overseeing its electronic initiatives and driving the transformation in its high-touch with high-tech customer driven strategy.

Prior to joining CFT, Everaert amassed over 13 years of experience at CME Group, where he held various executive roles including Managing Director for OTC solutions, Client Development & Sales Commercial Hedgers, and Managing Director for EMEA. He has also held important positions at renowned financial services and fintech firms, such as CIO E-commerce at GFI Group, Sales Manager of Investment Banking Services at Logica (now CGI), Product Manager of Electronic Trading Systems at Reuters, and Global Marketing Manager of Electronic Trading Services at Dow Jones Telerate.

In addition to this significant appointment, CFT has recently released its annual report for 2023, showcasing a revenue of CHF 982.39 million, representing a growth of 3.7% compared to CHF 947.40 million in 2022. The company's operating income also increased by 1.9% to CHF 983.3 million from CHF 965.0 million in the previous year.

Furthermore, CFT witnessed a 5.9% rise in profit before tax, reaching CHF 127.2 million compared to CHF 120.1 million in the prior year. The net profit for 2023 amounted to CHF 101.06 million, reflecting a 3.7% increase from CHF 97.42 million in 2022.

During the period, basic and diluted earning per share stood at CHF 12.71 and CHF 12.26, indicating an improvement from the previous year's figures of CHF 11.83 and CHF 11.76, respectively.
