Compagnie Financière Tradition Reports Decline in Revenue in H1 2021

Compagnie Financiere Tradition(CFT), one of the world's top interdealer broking firms, with a presence in 30 countries, posted its financial results for the first six months of 2021, showing a drop in revenue from the corresponding period in 2020.
More specifically, the broker registered a revenue of CHF 452 million, decreased by 9.9% at a constant exchange rate compared with CHF 512.8 million in the previous year.

The operating profit came in at CHF 43.8 million compared with CHF 51.5 million in the first half of 2020, down 21.6% at constant exchange rates. Operating margin stood at 9.7% against 11.3% from a year earlier.
Moreover, the broker detailed that the adjusted revenue from its interdealer business (IDB) went down by 9.8 percent in the H1 2021, while figures generated by the forex trading business for retail investors in Japan (non-IDB) declined by 13.8 percent(CHF 16.5 million), both at constant exchange rates.
On an adjusted basis, revenue stood at CHF 491 million, decreased by 9.9% at a constant exchange rate compared with CHF 558 million in the previous year.
