CPT Markets UK revenue climbs 77% but loss remains flat

CPT Markets UK Limited, an FCA-regulated CFD broker, reported a 77% increase in revenue for 2025, but its annual loss remained almost unchanged as higher operating costs offset stronger client trading activity.

Revenue for the year ended 31 December 2025 reached £621,585, up from £351,378 a year earlier, an increase of £270,207. The company attributed the higher revenue to increased client trading activity on its C-U trading platforms, which offer forex, commodities and indices to retail and professional clients.

Despite the revenue growth, CPT Markets UK reported a loss after tax of £875,007, compared with £874,276 in 2024. The loss increased by just £731, or less than 0.1%. The operating loss was also broadly unchanged at £876,641, versus £875,606 in the prior year, an increase of £1,035.

The company's cost base rose during the year. Cost of sales increased 193% to £143,578, from about £49,000 in the previous period. Administrative expenses grew 14.5% to £1.36 million. Gross profit increased 58% to £478,007, from £302,317, but the higher gross profit did not result in a material reduction in the operating loss as operating expenses continued to weigh on results.

The directors described 2025 as a "very difficult year" and said the company undertook a restructuring of its management and operations in consultation with its ultimate beneficial owner. The restructuring included changes to staffing and operating costs. CPT Markets UK reduced its operational headcount and sales costs during the year and renegotiated the structure of its remaining teams. The company said it plans to review external service costs and reduce liquidity provider fees where possible.

The directors also disclosed a further substantial capital injection in March this year, after the end of the reporting period. Additional funds were approved if required. The injection falls outside CPT Markets UK's financial results for the period under review but was disclosed as part of the company's post-year-end position.
