Crypto Exchange Bitvavo Gets Nod to Operate in France

Netherlands-based crypto firm Bitvavo has got registered with the French Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP), permitting to the firm to deliver crypto products and services in the French market.

The launch in France is part of Bitvavo's ambition to become the leading crypto exchange in Europe, notes CEO Mark Nuvelstijn.

"Securing registration with the French AMF marks a pivotal moment for us. We are excited about bringing our consumer-focused offering to the French market", said Nuvelstijn. "We anticipate that the factors contributing to our market leadership in the Netherlands will similarly appeal to the French audience."

This follows the company's obtainment of a registration in Austria this month. Besides, it has received a regulatory approval from the Italian supervisor in 2022.

Moreover, Bitvavo has also filed registration applications in other major markets.
