Crypto.com Appoints Michael Floros to Lead Cyprus Expansion

Crypto.com has named industry veteran Michael Floros as Executive Director and General Manager of its newly established Cyprus operations, as the company deepens its foray into the non-crypto brokerage sector.

Floros brings with him nearly a decade of experience from AN Allnew Investments Ltd, a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) formerly operating the LegacyFX brand. Crypto.com acquired the company earlier this year, along with its CySEC license, as part of its plan to offer regulated access to financial instruments such as CFDs across the European Economic Area.

In a public statement on social media, Floros remarked, "We aim to offer a broad range of financial instruments by providing Cross Border Investment & Ancillary Services across 27 Member States of the European Economic Area and Cyprus - operating under a Cyprus Investment Firm License, fully authorized by CySEC, under the MiFID II regulatory framework."

The appointment follows a string of strategic hires by Crypto.com in its efforts to grow its global presence in traditional financial products. These include several executives with prior experience at IG Group and Saxo Bank.
