Crypto.com Obtains Registration Approval in the Netherlands

Crypto.com, the world's fastest growing cryptocurrency platform, announced last Friday (July 28) that the Dutch central bank (DNB) has approved the company to register as a crypto service provider in the Netherlands a comprehensive review of Crypto.com's business and compliance in line with the Netherlands' Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act (Wwft).
Kris Marszalek, CEO of Crypto.com, commented on the registration: "Collaborating with regulators to responsibly advance the crypto and blockchain industry is of paramount importance to Crypto.com. This registration approval from De Nederlandsche Bank is a significant milestone for our business and the latest testament to our commitment to compliance. We look forward to continuing to work with DNB and other regulators around the world."
Crypto.com has now been regulated by more than a dozen regulators across the global. Last month, the company had obtained the Major Payment Institution (MPI) licence for Digital Payment Token (DPT) services from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) registration from the Bank of Spain. In addition, Crypto.com has ceased to provide services to institutional clients in the U.S since June 21 due to the strict regulatory environment and the "limited demand" in the country.
At the end of this June, the crypto company announced that it would establish its first Global Innovation Lab in Singapore, focusing on identifying novel applications for blockchain, Web3.0 and AI.
