Cryptocurrency Lender Vauld Raises $2 Million
Singapore-based cryptocurrency lender Vauld (previously Bank of Hodlers) has raised $2 million. The round was led by Pantera Capital, which was joined by a slew of investors including Coinbase Ventures, LuneX Ventures and individual investors including Robert Leshner of Compound Finance.
According to the company, the funds would be utilized for growing from a lending platform to one that includes payments and trading. Moreover, the money will also go toward plans to broaden its presence in Europe and the United States.
Darshan Bathija, CEO of Vauld, commented:"We see institutional capital come into the crypto space with the expectation of banking integrations to complement crypto credit offerings."
Paul Veradittakit, partner at Pantera Capital, added: "Vauld's vision to make cryptocurrencies the preferred instrument of banking by making it simple to use and interoperable with the current banking infrastructure is what we are excited about."
