cTrader Launches Advanced Take Profit Feature Across All Apps

Multi-asset trading platform cTrader has announced the rollout of an advanced take profit feature on all its applications. This new functionality allows traders to set up to five distinct take profit levels directly from mobile, enabling the locking in of partial profits as the market moves favorably. It provides enhanced control over exit price, volume, and timing at various stages of a trade.
Traders can specify the volume to close at each predetermined profit level. Upon reaching a target, the platform automatically closes that portion of the position while leaving the remainder active. This automation allows for profit-taking at multiple points without requiring manual intervention or constant market monitoring.
The feature is accessible from the platform's "Place order," "Modify order," and "Position" screens, as well as directly from charts. Users can add, edit, or remove take profit levels at any time, whether when initiating a new order or managing an existing open or pending position.
Advanced take profit caters to diverse trading strategies. For short-term traders, it facilitates setting precise exits ahead of volatile moves. For those holding longer-term positions, it allows for profit targets to be spread out, enabling more gradual risk management. In both scenarios, the tool minimizes the need for manual oversight.
Concurrently, cTrader has introduced a break-even stop loss feature. This automatically moves a trade's stop loss to the entry price once a specified profit level is reached, protecting the position from loss. Combined with existing tools like trailing stops and chart trading, these enhancements form a robust suite for position and risk management, aligning with the platform's Traders First™ development philosophy.
