CySEC Announces €100,000 Settlement with CIF ICC Intercertus Capital Limited

​The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission(CySEC) announced today that it has reached a settlement with the CIF ICC Intercertus Capital Limited (LEI 549300C7ANWSAJCH4Y03 ) for possible violations of Article 42 of Regulation (EU) No 600/2014 on markets in financial instruments during the period from January 2020 to May 2021. 

According to the regulator, the settlement complies with paragraph 5 of the Directive for the Restriction on the Marketing, Distribution, and Sale of Contracts for Difference (CFDs) to Retail Clients (DI87-09), concerning the prohibition of participation in circumvention activities.

CySEC noted that the company has paid €100,000 for the settlement, which is the amount of the fine for posibble violation. Significantly, all amounts payable relating to settlement agreements are considered revenue (income) of the Treasury of the Republic and do not constitute income of CySEC.

Most recently, the regulator has announced €150,000 settlement with CIF FXBFI Broker Financial Invest Ltd​.
