CySEC Flags Unregistered Crypto Entity Berkshire Hathaway TX

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has recently issued a warning against a crypto website under the domain http://berkshirehathawaytx.com.

The aforementioned website is operated by Berkshire Hathaway TX. The Cypriot financial watchdog explained that Berkshire Hathaway TX does not register with CySEC as Crypto Asset Service Provider, as provided by article 61E of the Prevention and Suppression of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Laws of 2007 , as amended.

The regulator warns investors to exercise utmost caution when dealing with financial firms to be risk-averse, and not to establish any business relation before identification.

Shortly before, CySEC has decided to suspend the authorisation of FTX (EU) Ltd​, the Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) and the European unit of the failed crypto exchange FTX, until September 30, 2023.
