The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) informed the public on Tuesday that pursuant to the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law of 2017, it has decided to ask the Council of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) to suspend the trading of securities of the following companies:

1. Τοξότης Επενδύσεις Δημόσια Λτδ

2. Cyprus Trading Corporation Plc

3. Ermes Department Stores Plc και

4. Woolworth (Cyprus) Properties Plc

CySEC came to the decision as the aforesaid companies have not complied with the regulation to publish their Annual Financial Report for the year ended on 31 December 2020, and the Semi-Annual Financial Report for the period ended June 30, 2021, which caused that investors were not provided with the required information on their financial situation.

CySEC requests the suspension of trading these companies’ securities from 28 December 2021 until their compliance, and require them to publish relevant reports no later than 31 January 2022.

Previously, Fazzaco reported that CySEC has released annual statistical bulletin for 2020, revealing that the income derived from the activities of Cyprus investment firms (CIFs) amounted to €1.9 billion.
