CySEC Warns Against New Cases of Fraudulent Impersonation of Its Website

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) announced today that it has detected fraudulent websites impersonating its own website, and persons falsely claiming to be CySEC Officers.
Below are the fake websites:
1. cysec-regulatory.com
2. bwww.cysecsupport.online
3. www.cysec-support.online
4. www.cysecgov.com
CySEC explained that, as a regulatory authority, it has no authority or jurisdiction to collect fees for any purpose from individual investors, nor does it have authority to appoint anyone to do so on its behalf.
Besides, the watchdog does not authorize, verify, monitor, nor is it in any way involved in class actions, compensation schemes, payments between natural or legal entities or any public or private agencies.
CySEC urges the public to exert utmost caution when facing any unsolicited communication purporting to be from CySEC, and refrain from giving money to anyone who claims to be representing CySEC.
Earlier this month, CySEC has issued warnings against 5 websites that do not belong to an entity which has been granted an authorization for the provision of investment services and/or the performance of investment activities.
