The DCE (Dalian Commodity Exchange) on December 26, 2022 opened eight soybean-related futures and options contracts to overseas traders.

The move was first announced in September 2022. The CSRC (China Securities Regulatory Commission) granted its approval on 9 December.

The eight contracts being opened to foreign investors include futures and options in No 1 Soybean, No 2 Soybean, Soybean meal, and Soybean oil.

Overseas traders can use CNY, USD, standard warehouse receipts, and China government bonds as margins to trade the contracts.

China is the world's largest importer of soybean and producer of both soybean meal and soybean oil.

Including the eight soybean-related contracts, the DCE has made 11 product varieties open to overseas traders, including palm oil futures and options and iron ore futures.
