Damian Vogel to Become UBS Group Chief Risk Officer, Succeeding Christian Bluhm

UBS announced today that its Chief Risk Officer Christian Bluhm decided to step down, who will be replaced by Damian Vogel, the current Chief Risk Officer for UBS's Global Wealth Management (GWM) business.
Damian will also join UBS´s Group Executive Board at the beginning of May 2023. He joined the bank in 2012, having held multiple seniors positions across GWM and Personal & Corporate Banking, as well as for region Switzerland. Prior to UBS, he has spent more than a decade in Credit Suisse, where he served as Director Credit Risk Management between 2010 and 2012.

Christian Bluhm has been Group Chief Risk Officer since 2016. Under his leadership, the bank noted that, its risk function has evolved into one that embraces advanced analytics, digitalization, and innovative technology, including artificial intelligence.

Christian and Damian will work closely together over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.
