The initiative will initially focus on Vietnamese travelers in South Korea and is set to expand to other regions.

The program allows holders of Visa credit cards issued in Vietnam to access real-time installment payment options at participating South Korean merchants, such as duty-free shops, department stores, and medical institutions. Eligible cardholders can select their installment terms directly during transactions.

This collaboration represents a shift in cross-border payment options, addressing a previously unmet demand. DealMe and Visa’s partnership enables participating merchants to offer installment services to international consumers for the first time.

The rollout follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by DealMe and Visa’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in November 2024. South Korea serves as the pilot market, with plans to expand the service to countries including Vietnam, the United States, Australia, Japan, and Singapore.

Visa’s data highlights the relevance of this service, with a significant percentage of Vietnamese consumers prioritizing South Korea as a leisure destination. This aligns with broader trends in regional travel and digital payment adoption.

The collaboration reflects DealMe’s strategic focus on utilizing Visa’s global network to streamline international payment processes. Future developments are expected to address other high-demand travel destinations and consumer markets.
