December 2023 Sees a 7.4% Drop in Total ADV for FXSpotStream, Breaking the Growth Trend

FXSpotStream, an FX streaming aggregation service provider, has updated its trading data for December 2023, seeing a decline in the total average daily volume (ADV) after three consecutive months of growth.
The ADV on the platform totaled $64.8 billion for the month, decreasing 7.4% compared to $70.0 billion in November 2023, but increasing 12.5% compared to $57.6 billion in December 2022.
More specifically, spot ADV for the last month of 2023 amounted to $49.2 billion, 8.6% lower than $53.8 billion in the prior month and 8.4% higher than $45.4 billion in the same period of 2022.
ADV of other products dropped by 3.7% from $16.2 billion to $15.6 billion on a month-on-month basis, but an increase of 27.9% compared to $12.2 billion in the year-ago month.
Late last year, Fazzaco reported on several major moves by FXSpotStream, including the integration of Horizon, FairXchange's data analysis platform, and the addition of NatWest, a major retail and commercial bank in the UK, to the list of its liquidity-providing banks available to clients connected to FXSpotStream's price streaming service.
