DeFi Technologies Launches Asset Management Mandate with Nuvve to Enter Digital Treasury Advisory Sector
DeFi Technologies has launched a new business line offering digital asset treasury services for public companies, with its first mandate awarded by Nuvve Holding Corp., a Nasdaq-listed electric vehicle grid integration firm. The engagement focuses on the management of Nuvve’s HYPE token holdings, which are part of its recently expanded corporate treasury strategy.
The scope of DeFi Technologies' services for Nuvve includes asset custody, over-the-counter execution, and performance optimization. Execution of OTC trades will be conducted through Stillman Digital, a subsidiary of DeFi Technologies. Compensation for the advisory services will be based on assets under management and paid quarterly, either in equity or cash, at the discretion of Nuvve.
The launch of the DeFi Advisory unit reflects the company’s shift toward recurring revenue through fee-based services. The firm intends to position itself as an institutional provider of digital asset strategies for companies entering or expanding in the decentralized finance market.
This development marks a formal step by Nuvve into token-based treasury management. The company’s decision to hold HYPE—a native token from the decentralized exchange Hyperliquid—follows broader trends among listed firms seeking exposure to blockchain-based assets as part of diversification strategies.
DeFi Technologies, which operates a suite of digital finance businesses including ETPs through Valour, prime brokerage through Stillman Digital, and research via Reflexivity Research, is expected to leverage its internal infrastructure to provide full-stack support to clients using digital assets in treasury management.
In addition to its current engagement with Nuvve, the company has indicated that additional mandates are in progress, as more public companies assess token-based capital deployment.
DeFi Technologies is listed on Nasdaq, CBOE Canada, and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Its broader business lines include quantitative trading infrastructure under Neuronomics, and DeFi Alpha, an internal arbitrage and trading desk.
