Deloitte and Google Cloud bring their global partnership in India

Source: Consultancy
Building on a global partnership, Deloitte and Google Cloud will now collaboratively support clients in India with their cloud tech needs. The partnership will be of support under Covid-19 conditions, according to executives at the two firms.
The duo will offer a wide variety of services nestled within the cloud domain. Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) will be one area of focus, as businesses look to modernise their IT architecture. To help clients improve their customer service, the partnership will also offer Google Cloud’s Contact Centre AI (CCAI) solutions – aimed at facilitating a detailed conversation with a virtual agent.
As businesses adjust to ‘work-from-home’ conditions under Covid-19, the pair will also leverage various G suite capabilities to enhance remote working arrangements for clients. According to President of Consulting at Deloitte India Romal Shetty, enabling remote work will be a core principle for Deloitte and Google’s offering in India.
“Virtualization of business operations has become crucial in current times, as clients look to respond, recover and thrive in the post-COVID world order. Deloitte has been working with some of the largest enterprises in driving the future of work, workforce and workplace. ‘Virtual First’ is the primary pillar as clients reimagine their business operating models and continue to serve their customers with excellence. Cloud will be a key enabler for catalyzing business transformations in India,” he said.Cloud technology is widely accepted as a gateway technology to digital transformation, and Deloitte and Google Cloud jointly facilitate business transformations across the globe, with partnerships in most major markets including the US, the UK and Australia. Google develops flagship storage and analytics solutions, while Deloitte supports with the delivery and implementation.
The pair will look to support clients in India with every step of the business transformation process as well, leveraging advanced data analytics to inform planning, budgeting, forecasting and demand management.
“Customers are looking to Google Cloud to help them solve their complex business and technology challenges. The Deloitte-Google alliance enables enterprises to embrace a new normal. From remote teamwork and collaboration, managing customer experience and operations performance through continued access to mission-critical applications and infrastructure in a secure manner, Deloitte and Google Cloud are working alongside clients to help them respond, recover and thrive in the new normal,” said Karan Bajwa, Managing Director at Google Cloud India.
The pair enters an increasingly competitive space. As businesses look to modernise their infrastructure, the public cloud market is expected to grow to a value of $8 billion by 2023. The advisory sector has been quick to move and support this process. Earlier this week, IT giants Wipro and IBM teamed up to deliver integrated cloud solutions in India.
Last year, Big Four accounting and advisory firm EY partnered with California-based cloud computing firm ServiceNow to offer cloud-based digital transformation services in India. Deloitte and Google now enter this competitive landscape.
