Deutsche Börse Continues Strong Financial Results with 15.9% YoY Increase in Net Revenue for Q1 2024

Deutsche Börse Group has released its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2024, (Q1 2024), demonstrating positive growth in various key metrics.

Financial Overview for Q1 2024

  • Net revenue totaled €1427.3 million for the quarter, an increase of 15.9% compared to €1231.2 million in the same period of 2023.

  • Operating costs during the period amounted to €564.5 million, up 24.7% compared to €452.7 million in the year-ago quarter.

  • Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) reached €875.3 million, increasing 13.4% compared to €772.1 million in the first quarter of last year.

  • Net profit for the period attribute to Deutsche Börse shareholders came in at €497.6 million, rising 5.1% compared to €473.3 million in Q1 2023.

  • Earnings per share (EPS) increased by 4.7% from €2.58 to €2.70 on a year-on-year basis (YoY).

Gregor Pottmeyer, CFO of Deutsche Börse AG, commented: "We once again significantly increased our net revenue in the first quarter. Our diversified business model has enabled us to achieve further secular growth, and we saw the additional revenue contribution from SimCorp. We have also made substantial progress in combining the business units in the new Investment Management Solutions segment and realising synergies. In doing so, we have created an important basis for achieving our financial targets in the current year and beyond."
