Deutsche Börse Posts Cash Market Trading Volumes in October 2021, with Turnover of €147.1B

Deutsche Börse released on Monday its cash market trading volumes in October 2021, unveiling the turnover rose from €146 billion of the same period last year to €147.1 billion.
The exchange elaborated that Xetra contributed the most to the total turnover, generating €119.7 billion, while the figure of the previous October was €119.4 billion. This brought the average daily Xetra trading volume to €5.7 billion, compared with that of the same period of last year at €5.4 billion. Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt fell from €4.3 billion of last October to €3.7 billion, and on Tradegate Exchange came in at €23.6 billion, up YoY €1.3 billion.
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €122.2 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €22.7 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.4 billion, in certificates €1.4 billion and in funds €0.2 billion.
Last month, Fazzaco reported that the group’s cash markets generated a total turnover of €156.9 billion in September over the last month, which was a 5.3 percent up year-over-year.
