Deutsche Börse, an international exchange organisation and innovative market infrastructure provider, announced that it has completed the purchase of a majority position in Quantitative Brokers LLC, an independent, global financial technology company.

Announced in September and closed on 1 December, the transaction will help bring Deutsche Börse closer to the buy-side value chain, accelerating product adoption and order flow attraction in the Exchange Traded Derivatives segment. Capitalizing on the growing importance of buy-side firms is a key growth driver for Deutsche Börse and forms part of the Group's mid-term growth strategy, Compass 2023.

Since the signing of the transaction in September, Quantitative Brokers has expanded its reach in the APAC region by launching its award-winning execution algorithms on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) derivatives market. It currently has operations in New York, London, Sydney and Chennai.

The co-founders Christian Hauff and Robert Almgren will retain a significant shareholding in the company and remain in their current roles as CEO and Chief Scientist, respectively.

Quantitative Brokers' portfolio of algorithms, simulation tools and analytics are used by many of the world's largest institutional investors. QB continually develops and innovates an evolving suite of products to reduce and measure implicit trading costs for its clients.
