Deutsche Börse Reports 18% YoY Increase in Net Revenue in Q3 2021

Deutsche Börse Group, a major German financial marketplace organizer, announced its financials for the third quarter of 2021, reporting a 18 percent yearly jump in its net revenue. This figure came in at €837.9 million.
The company’s operating costs rose to €375.8 million, this represents an increase of 17 percent compared to the last year’s €319.9 million. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at €499.5 million, 25% higher than the prior year's €399.5 million.
Net profit attributable to Deutsche Börse AG shareholders for the third quarter 2021 was €300.3 million, which represents a year-on-year increase of 32 percent compared to the prior year’s €227.1 million. Earnings per share came to €1.64 for this quarter, higher than the prior year's €1.24.
“The group reported double-digit net revenue growth in the third quarter, despite the ongoing lack of cyclical tailwinds. As expected, this was made possible by a combination of further secular growth and M&A. Together with our efficient cost management, we are well positioned on our planned growth path,”Gregor Pottmeyer, CFO of Deutsche Börse AG said.
Earlier this month, the group has published the trading metrics across its cash markets for September. Its cash markets generated a total turnover of €156.9 billion over the last month, which is a 5.3 percent up year-over-year.
