Deutsche Börse's Cash Markets Generate €144.1 Billion in Turnover During June

Deutsche Börse's cash markets generated a turnover of €144.1 billion in June 2022, compared to €146.8 billion in the same period of previous year and €161.6 billion in May.

According to the German exchange, €123.9 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €119.8 billion; prior month: €138.1 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €5.6 billion (previous year: €5.4 billion; prior month: €6.3 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €2.7 billion (previous year: €3.8 billion; prior month: €3 billion) and on Tradegate Exchange €17.5 billion (previous year: €23.3 billion; prior month: €20.5 billion).

By type of asset class, equities accounted for €119.8 billion (prior month: €135.3 billion) in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €22.6 billion (prior month: €24.5 billion). Turnover in bonds was €0.4 billion (prior month: €0.5 billion), in certificates €1.1 billion (prior month: €1.2 billion) and in funds €0.2 billion (prior month: €0.2 billion).

The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in June was Linde plc with €5.3 billion. Commerzbank AG led the MDAX with €1.3 billion, while Deutsche EuroShop AG led the SDAX index with €220 million. In the ETF segment, the iShares Core MSCI World UCITS ETF generated the largest volume with €762 million.
