Deutsche Bank Partners with finaXai on AI and Blockchain for Tokenized Funds

Deutsche Bank announced on Monday, May 26, 2025, that it has entered into a strategic partnership with finaXai, an artificial intelligence firm based in Singapore. The collaboration aims to enhance the servicing of tokenized funds by leveraging AI and blockchain technologies.
This partnership forms part of Project DAMA 2, a multi-chain asset servicing pilot designed to streamline how asset managers manage and support tokenized funds and investor interactions. The initiative is expected to integrate Machine Learning and Large Language Models into asset servicing workflows, aiming to increase speed, transparency, and precision through explainable AI.
FinaXai, co-founded by researchers from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the National University of Singapore (NUS), is also a participant in the Fincubator programme at the Asian Institute of Digital Finance, which receives support from Singapore's central bank and the National Research Foundation.
Anand Rengarajan, Deutsche Bank's Head of Securities Services for APAC and MEA, stated that the partnership unites research-led solutions with industry applications. He added, "We seek to better understand and anticipate our asset manager clients' needs as they explore the future of tokenisation." Dr. Erik Cambria, Co-Founder of finaXai and a Professor at NTU, commented that the collaboration bridges academic research with real-world applications, enhancing the accessibility and execution of digital asset services. Dr. Gianmarco Mengaldo, Co-Founder and Assistant Professor at NUS, further noted that the project demonstrates the potential of explainable AI in solving complex financial challenges, underscoring the importance of aligning scientific research with practical financial innovation.
