Devexperts Introduces Event-Based Trading Solution
Devexperts, a software developer for the global capital markets industry, has launched a new event-based trading model. The solution is designed to support firms entering the event-based trading market.
The company offers an enterprise proposition for developing bespoke event-based trading platforms. These platforms can integrate with existing software or function as standalone products, complete with a frontend and matching engine. Devexperts states this meets the needs of both brokers and exchanges.
The event-based trading framework is designed for resilient financial infrastructures in a fast-paced environment. Key features include 24/7 uptime capability, on-the-fly contract creation and resolution, and API-connected admin interfaces for contract management. The architecture is modular, allowing for updates without service interruption, and can handle high peak loads. It also includes protections against front-running for certain markets, such as latency introduction for live sporting events.
The product utilizes existing frameworks from Devexperts’ DXtrade multi-asset trading platform and DXmatch matching engine infrastructure. Devexperts states it can be deployed quickly and efficiently, with customizable user interfaces.
Jon Light, Senior Director of Product Management at Devexperts, commented on the regulatory shifts in the U.S. favoring prediction markets, noting the growth of event-based trading in the retail market. Light stated that their prototype allows firms and exchanges to implement event-based trading platforms efficiently, either as integrated components or full standalone products. He emphasized Devexperts' capability to meet specific event-based trading requirements with robust software and tailored UI.
