This week, several financial institutions released their monthly or quarterly financial reports. Exchanges such as SIX Swiss Exchange, Deutsche Börse, and JPX showed an overall downward trend. In this sluggish economic environment, Layoffs have become commonplace for financial firms around the world.

Morgan Stanley, the Wall Street giant, has revealed its new round of layoff plans during the ongoing May Day holiday. According to a source said on Monday (May 1st), the bank plans to eliminate about 3,000 jobs in the second quarter, making its second major layoffs in six month.

In addition, nearly six weeks after Accenture announced layoffs affecting around 19,000 of its employees, another IT and consulting giant, Cognizant, has announced job cuts this week. While announcing its financial results for the first quarter of 2023, Cognizant mentioned its plan to layoff 3,500 employees.

1. Swissquote - Business Development Manager (Spanish)

Swissquote, Switzerland's market leader in online banking, is hiring a Spanish Business Development Manager who will be a member of its Global Sales HQ department, conductig multiple tasks to grow the business through providing service to the existing clients of the Bank as well as sales missions.

Requirements:

• Spanish as mother tongue, fluent in English. Portuguese would be a plus;

• Bachelor or a Master in Economics or Finance is a plus;

• Having an existing portfolio of clients, Introducing Brokers and EAM in the fields of Forex, CFDs, Cryptocurrencies, Trading is an important asset;

• Knowledge of the Latam market;

• Knowledge of leverage products, CFDs and Forex;

• Computer literate in Microsoft Office package.

2. ThinkMarkets​ - Head of CRM

The global financial technology company ThinkMarkets is in search of a Head of CRM to join its global workforce in Sofia. The role will be responsible for setting the CRM function's strategy, creating execution plans, driving activation and retention of customers through email and other channels, as well navigating between the sales processes and technology across the organization.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, leading a team, driving CRM strategy, and email marketing, with demonstrated experience building, deploying, and optimizing campaigns;

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with CRM systems (Salesforce Marketing Cloud is key);

• Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related;

• Experience with a global company, including international marketing;

• Prior experience with the financial and/or trading sector a plus;

• Ability to manage multiple CRM projects with complete autonomy.

3. OANDA - Data Scientist (Machine Learning)
