Coinbase Commerce, a web-based platform that allows businesses to accept payments in various cryptocurrencies, is accepting payments in Dogecoin (DOGE), bringing the number of cryptocurrencies available on its platfrom to 7.

Customers can now check out and pay with Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) alongside Stablecoins DAI and USD Coin (USDC).

Coinbase Commerce a product from Coinbase allowing merchants to integrate cryptocurrency payments into their website. According to its website, the platform enables merchants anywhere in the world to accept cryptocurrency payments in a fully decentralized way, as it website describes.

The website further explains: “All payments facilitated by Coinbase Commerce are fully decentralized and peer-to-peer. This means that the cryptocurrency goes directly from your wallet to a wallet that is only accessible by the merchant. At no point in this flow does anyone except the merchant, including Coinbase, have access to these funds.”
