DTCC Partners with Chainlink for 24/7 Collateral Management Platform

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) announced its Collateral AppChain platform will utilize the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) and Chainlink's data standard to enhance orchestration, data, and automation capabilities.
Chainlink integration aims to seamlessly pair asset prices, valuations, and movements, aiming to transform global market risk management.
CRE operates at institutional scale, providing a resilient data and orchestration layer to automate workflows for eligibility, valuation, margining, optimization, settlement, and post-trade processes. The reusable framework allows the platform to scale across new data types, asset classes, and use cases.
DTCC's Collateral AppChain serves as a shared infrastructure platform, offering a common, interoperable foundation for collateral providers, receivers, managers, triparty agents, and custodians.
The platform was unveiled during DTCC's Great Collateral Experiment and is scheduled to launch in Q4 2026.
"By leveraging tokenization and DLT to modernize collateral mobility, our goal is to enable 24/7, near real-time collateral management across global markets and blockchains," said Nadine Chakar, DTCC Managing Director and Global Head of Digital Assets. "Chainlink's CRE integration will deliver a unified on-chain environment with asset prices, valuations, and collateral agreement data."
"It has been great working with DTCC, and I am very excited to see the Collateral AppChain progressing closer to production to bring smart contracts to traditional finance," said Sergey Nazarov, Co-Founder of Chainlink. "CRE will advance DTCC's collateral management by orchestrating critical outputs securely and privately. Collateral management is the killer app traditional finance has been waiting for."
