Dune Analytics Announces Completion of $8M Series A

Dune Analytics, an Ethereum ecosystem analytics by and for the crypto space for free, announced that it has raised $8 million in a Series A funding round led by Union Square Ventures. Other investors include Redpoint Ventures, alongside previous partners Dragonfly Capital and Multicoin Capital.

Dune Analytics plans to use the money to scale its business and the work force. Founded in 2018, the firm is on a mission to make crypto data accessible.

According to an announcement by Dune Analytics Founders Fredrik and Mats, while blockchain data is public in theory, it is a tremendous challenge to extract, analyze and diggest the data in practice. The company is focused on building a community-first data tool with open collaboration and free access at its core. This way it is making transparency a practical reality in the new financial system, not just a theoretical possibility.
