Dutch AFM Warns of Fraudulent Emails Purporting to be from the Regulator

The Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) are aware of the circulation of a fake email purported to be from the regulator in which recipients are asked to transfer a sum of money. The AFM would never ask you to make such a transfer without liaising with you first.
According to the fake email, the recipient needs to make the transfer ('standard fee') in order to benefit from an inheritance kept in an offshore bank account.
If you have received such an email or one that looks similar to it, please report it to AFM and delete it from your inbox.
