DV Markets Merges with IFS Markets as One Brand

Source: Fazzaco

97c6ff1af48e7a0bfe87964b4bcdb5c.jpegFazzaco has learned that two Australia-based FX and CFD brokers DV Markets and IFS Markets have merged as one global brand.

DV Markets and IFS Markets had been two different trading brand under Forex Financial Service Pty Ltd and hold the same Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) license with Licence Number 323193.

However, now when you visit DV Markets website, you will be reminded the merger fact and redirected to IFS Markets.

The sources said that the MT4 interface of DV Markets has been changed into IFS Markets'  when you open MT4 earlier in August, 2020, which seems to be a sign of this merger.

What Behind the Merger?

Both the brokers headquartered in Australia and regulated by ASIC.

Last year, ASIC stated that Australian financial service licensees offering OTC derivatives to retail investors located in some overseas jurisdictions (China and Europe) may be providing unlicensed or unauthorized services, leading to  many brokers, such as IG group, ETO Markets, IFGM, AETOS, OGFX and TBC, cease to providing service in China.

It is said that some brokers has been seeking concessions from ASIC, but results turns out to be not so encouraging as IC Markets AU accounts transferred to Seychelles-regulated entity in August and Oanda and Charter Prime withdraw from  Chinese market in the beginning of September. So there are reasons to believe that this merger between IFS Markets and DV Markets is also affected by this.

Fazzaco tries to contact IFS markets, but no comments are given on the merger at the time the article published.
