Equiti Capital Appoints NatWest Markets as FX Prime Broker
Equiti Capital, part of Equiti Group, has appointed NatWest Markets, a financial services provider owned by NatWest group, as the new Prime Broker for its FX desk. NatWest Markets is now the Forex and CFD liquidity provider's new Prime Broker to diversify risk.
Equiti Capital has registered significant growth in its FX Desk during the last few months. The company sees this partnership as an opportunity to facilitate its FX Desk that provides liquidity in FX derivatives including NDFs, swaps, forwards, exotic options, and vanilla.
Benedict Sears, Head of Equiti Capital's FX Desk, said: "NatWest Markets offers versatile solutions that deliver a quicker time to market, expediting the process by which we establish lines of credit when facing Asset Managers, Family Offices, Hedge Funds, and Local Banks."
Recently, Equiti Capital has partnered with Lucera, a leading technology provider of infrastructure and connectivity services, taking advantage of Lucera's high-performance tool, LumeFX to open the door to new markets, as Fazzaco reported last month.
According to Equiti Capital, the growth of the company's FX Desk can be mainly attributed to its unique macroeconomic insights and voice execution offering. "We find clients are often looking for help in executing large orders, with an emphasis on reducing market impact. Our Desk is able to help clients with this while maintaining a level of market access which would be unfeasible to maintain for a Buyside firm in the fragmented OTC FX market," Sears added.
Commenting on the partnership, NatWest Markets' Head of Global FX Prime Brokerage, Marcus Butt, said: "We are very pleased that Equiti Capital has recognized our PB solutions as market-leading and are looking forward to supporting the company's continued growth."
