Ethereum ETFs Attract $729 Million in Single Day

U.S.-listed spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $729.1 million in inflows in one day this week, the second-largest single-day total since their debut. BlackRock's ETHA led with $500.9 million, while Fidelity's FETH added $154.7 million.
Over the last three trading sessions, Ethereum ETFs have amassed $2.2 billion, compared with $330.9 million for Bitcoin ETFs over the same period. August inflows into Ethereum products have reached roughly 500,000 ETH - surpassing the asset's net issuance of 450,000 ETH since its transition to proof-of-stake.
Analysts say Ethereum's broad use in decentralized finance, NFTs, tokenization, and its post-merge deflationary supply have strengthened its appeal. Staking yields are also drawing institutional interest. Standard Chartered has raised its 2025 price target for ETH to $7,500 and sees potential for $25,000 by 2028, citing ETF demand, corporate treasury participation, supportive U.S. regulation for stablecoins, and ongoing ecosystem growth.
The strong performance contrasts sharply with Bitcoin ETF flows, which have slowed despite Bitcoin's larger market capitalization. Some market observers suggest that Ethereum's multi-functional nature and income potential may be shifting institutional preferences in its favor.
