Fazzaco learned that eToro, an Israeli social trading and multi-asset brokerage company, has named Hedva Ber as its new Deputy CEO and COO. In her new role, Ms Ber will be in charge of eToro's operational infrastructure, its corporate governance and compliance.
As seen on her LinkedIn profile, prior to joining eToro, Ms Ber served as Supervisor of Banks within the Bank of Israel, the country's central bank. Before that, she held several senior positions including Deputy Head of Capital Markets Dvision and Chief Risk Officer at Bank Leumi, Israel's largest bank. Additionally, she works part-time as a consultant to fintech company Wix.com and sits on the board of Mimum Yashir, a leading consumer credit company.
Ms Ber is a graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a PhD in Ecomomics.
Earlier last month, Fazzaco reported that eToro will merge with Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) FinTech Acquisition Corp. V for publicly listing its shares on Nasdaq. Additionally, the company has announced several key appointments last month.
