eToro, OANDA, CMC Markets and Other Four Companies Are Hiring Now

In the past year, the whole world has been confronted by an unstable economy with high inflation and rising interest rates, and the headwinds in crypto mainly caused by the collapse of the crypto giant FTX.

For around the past week, a host of financial companies announced cull plans to rein in costs to ride out the ongoing downturn, especially firms in the crypto space. Crypto exchange Kraken has closed its Abu Dhabi office and let go eight members of staff in the MENA region following cutting around 30% of global staff. Singapore-based crypto services provider Matrixport was downsizing its workforce by 10%, primarily concentrated in the marketing department. CoinTracker and Luno have trimmed 20% and 35% of their headcount respectively.

During the period, fintechs, namely PayPal and Feedzai have cut their workforce. Besides, Deutsche Bank refused to rule out job cuts.

Despite layoffs, Fazzaco recently found that multiple financial firms, brokerages in particular, are strengthening their sales and compliance teams with new hires. Let's look at what jobs they're offering and what are the responsibilities.

1. eToro - Spanish Account Manager

The world’s leading social Investment network eToro is seeking account managers with former experience in the financial industry to join its dynamic Spanish team.

As an account manager in the customer-facing department, the role will be responsible for maintaining relationships with the company's most valuable customers. Manage the growth of the portfolio of our client base, including upselling and cross-selling eToro products.

2. OANDA - Sales Account Executive

OANDA, a global leader in online multi-asset trading services, is looking for a focused, eager and determined person to join its global Sales Team in Singapore. Sales experience in the financial industry is not necessary as training will be provided.

The main responsibilities include acquireing new clients via phone and mail, manage and deepening new and existing relationships with a dedicated portfolio of OANDA’s clients, and retain and reactivating clients through proactive management.

3. CMC Markets - Institutional Sales

CMC Markets, a global leader in CFD trading and share investing, is offering an Institutional Sales opportunity based in its Barangaroo office in Sydney.

The role will help achieve CMC Markets’ business goals for sales growth of its institutional business by taking responsibility for growing a new client base. Major responsibilities will include researching, identifying and creating institutional sales opportunities for the APAC market.

4. Eurotrader - Senior Product Designer

Eurotrader, a multi-asset retail broker, is seeking for a Senior Product Designer with 3+ years experience as a design manager.

This role will initially lead the design and UX on a greenfield project for a web portal. As part of cross-functional team, you will work closely with Product Managers and Engineering to ensure an excellent customer experience. This role will be hands-on with understanding user needs and business processes, to deliver elegant and functional products.

5. PayPal​ - Fraud Intelligence Data Analyst

The payment giant is looking for a Fraud Intelligence Data Analyst with 2+ years of experience in risk, cybersecurity, fraud detection, or anti-money laundering (AML).

The role will partner with senior level team member to analyze big data to drive actionable insights, develop and maintain fraud intelligence documentation for internal and partner team members, and  create data visualizations dashboards in efforts to monitor data.

6. Finalto - Vice President – Institutional Sales & Business Development

As a Vice President in Sales & Business Development based in Singapore, the role will be responsible for maintaining and developing the firm’s key institutional client relationships in all its key distributed products. The successful candidate is required to have at least 5 years of sales experience in a similar position / FX institutional market.

7. Feedzai - Key Account Manager, Nordics
