The FSCA's mandate is to enhance the efficiency and integrity of financial markets, promote fair customer treatment by financial institutions, provide financial education and promote financial literacy and assist in maintaining financial stability in South Africa.

According to ETX Capital, the newly obtained license is a part of the move to expand its services globally, especially beyond Europe and seems to be a strategic move of the broker as the country remains a significant trading market in Africa.

ETX clients in South Africa will enjoy instant execution, tight spreads and low commissions on CFDs on thousands of global markets – across all major asset classes from forex, indices, shares and commodities.

"Achieving this important milestone is paramount to our expansion plans and is yet another feather in the ETX cap. We are committed to strengthening our relationship with traders in the region, and in upcoming weeks we will be working behind the scenes to welcome our South African clients onto our new license," said Nandik Barbhaiya, ETX Capital's Chief Marketing Officer.

As Fazzaco reported earlier, ETX Capital has launched zero-fee trading services for a number of top-traded stock CFDs, including company names like Tesla, Barclays, Apple and Amazon.
