According to the exchange, futures on the MSCI Brazil will be traded in an order book that offers all the advantages of efficient and transparent pricing. The Brazilian market accounts for by far the largest weight of 66 percent in the MSCI EM Latin America Index.
Eurex is already covering the Latin American market with futures on MSCI EM Latin America, as well as with country index futures for Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Colombia. Additional futures on MSCI Brazil will enable market participants to directly hedge or gain exposure to the largest Latin American market and benefit from efficiencies by centralizing MSCI derivatives in one exchange and clearing house, with respective operational, clearing and risk management benefits.
In July, Fazzaco reported that Eurex and the Korea Exchange (KRX), the sole securities exchange operator in South Korea, announced the launch of USD/KRW Futures via their joint Eurex/KRX link on 26 July.
