Eurex Gains US Approval for European Dividend Options

Eurex, a leading European derivatives exchange, has received regulatory approval from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to offer its dividend options to US investors. This move expands US investors' access to European equity markets.

Effective immediately, US investors can trade dividend options on major European indices, including the EURO STOXX 50 and EURO STOXX Banks.

"Removing access barriers and making our products available to global investors is a top priority for us," said Robbert Booij, CEO of Eurex Frankfurt AG. "With dividend options on key indices, US investors have another efficient tool to manage their exposure to the European market."

Eurex reported strong growth in its dividend derivatives segment in 2024, with over 21 million contracts traded.
