Euronext Posts 2.6% MoM Increase in Total Volume of FX Market in November 2022

Euronext, the largest stock exchange in Europe, has released its trading volumes for the month of November, showing a slight increase of 2.6% in the total volume of FX markets on a MoM basis.
According to the report, the transaction number of total cash market for November accounted for 65,775,002, an increase of 5% on a MoM basis (October 2022: 62,825,968) and a decrease of 22% on a YoY basis (November 2021: 83,859,356). The ADV of cash market in the month was 2,989,773, equivalent to last month's 2,991,713 but down 22% compared to 3,811,789 in the same period of last year. The transaction value for the month came in at €240,002 million, up 16% on a monthly basis (October 2022: 206,753) but down 20% on a yearly basis (November 2021: 301,702).
For the derivatives market, the total volume of futures was 5,159,735 lots, falling 2.5% from 5,291,238 lots in October and falling 13.4% from 5,958,956 lots in November 2022. The total volume of options accounted for 9,627,305 lots, an increase of 9.1% compared to 8,824,644 lots of last month and a decrease of 21.2% compared to 12,812,205 lots of last November.
In terms of the FX market, the total volume of Euronext's FX came in at $463,708 million, up 2.6% compared to the prior month's $452,113 million but down 0.5% compared to $466,095 million in the same period of last year. The ADV Euronext FX for November was $21,078 million, decreasing 2.1% compared to $21,529 million of October and decreasing 0.5% compared to $21,186 million of last November.
