Euronext Reports 19.8% Yearly Increase in June FX Volumes

Fazzaco learned that Euronext, the largest stock exchange in Europe, has released its trading volumes for the month of June 2022, reporting a slight jump in FX volume from the previous month.
According to the figures, Euronext's FX spot volume for April came in at €510 million, up by 0.2% compared to the prior month's number of €509.1 million and 19.8% compare to the prior year's €425.7 million. The average daily volume (ADV) for the forex market for the month stood at €23.1 million, 0.2% higher than the previous month and 19.8% higher than the previous year.

In terms of the derivatives market monthly activity, the total futures accounted for 6,584,335 lots, which is increased by 5.9% from the figure seen in the prior last month of 6,219,264 lots. Also, the total options were 9,576,429. This is another increase of 4.1% compared to May, whose number was 9,199,842 lots.
Moreover, the total futures ADV was 299,288 lots for June. This is down -19.9% from the number seen in June 2021 of 373,568. Furthermore, total options ADV hit 435,292 lots for the period, which is up 19.8% on a yearly basis compared to June 2021, where the figure was 363,468 lots.
Additionally, the total cash market number of transactions accounted for 69,409,076, dropped by 10% from May's figure of 77,374,186. The ADV of cash market in June was 3,154,958.
