Euronext Reports Strong Third-Quarter 2024 Financial Performance

Euronext, a leading pan-European market infrastructure, delivered robust third-quarter 2024 results, with a 10% year-on-year increase in total revenue and income, reaching €396.3 million. This growth was driven by strong trading and post-trade activities amid favorable market conditions and solid performance in non-volume related segments.
FX trading revenue stood out with a 27.6% increase, hitting a record €8.2 million, supported by higher market volumes and volatility. On a like-for-like basis, FX trading revenue rose by 28.8% compared to the same period last year.
Adjusted EBITDA climbed 15.1% year-on-year to €245.8 million, while adjusted operating profit also grew by 15%, reaching €224.7 million. These gains reflect cost control measures and the positive impact of seasonal factors that offset increased investments in growth.
Despite these strong operational metrics, the reported net income attributable to shareholders dipped 4.2% year-on-year to €159.5 million, attributed to non-recurring gains in Q3 2023. However, adjusted net income surged 23.4%, reaching €180.8 million, with adjusted EPS up 26.1% to €1.74 per share.
Euronext's CEO commented, "The third quarter reflects our ability to deliver sustainable growth through a diversified revenue base and disciplined cost management. The positive results in trading, coupled with the expansion of non-volume related revenues, underline our resilience in a dynamic market environment."
This performance highlights Euronext's commitment to balancing organic growth with strategic investments, further solidifying its position as a leading player in European financial markets.
