Euronext Sees 14% YoY Decrease in Revenue and Income for Q3 2022

Euronext, the largest stock exchange in Europe has released its results for the third quarter 2022 (Q3 2022), showing a 14% decrease in revenue and income.

In Q3 2022, Euronext's revenue and income came in at €301.4 million, a decrease of 14% compared to €350.6 million in Q3 2021.
Trading revenue for the quarter was €117.8 million, down 5.2% from €124.2 million on a yearly basis. Cash trading revenue was €63.7 million, fell 10.2% compared to last Q3's €75 million, while FX trading revenue grew to €7.3 million, an increase of 30.1% compared to €5.6 million in Q3 2021.
Post-trade revenue (excluding NTI) reached €86.2 million, increasing 3.7% on a YoY basis. Clearing revenue increased to €29.1 million, up 5.5% from €27.5 million in the same period of last year. Custody and Settlement revenue was €57.1 million, up 2.8% from €55.6 million in last Q3.
Listing revenue grew to €54.0 million, increasing 6.3% compared to €50.8 million in Q3 2021. Euronext recorded 18 new equity listings in Q3 2022. Four new companies joined the new Euronext Tech Leaders segment following its launch in June 2022.
Advanced Data Services revenue was €53.0 million, rising 6.3% compared to €49.8 million in Q3 2021.
Adjusted EBITDA decreased from €209.1 million to €199.9 million, down 4.4% on a YoY basis. Adjusted EBITDA margin was at 57.1%, felling 2.6pts.
Adjusted operating profit decreased 3.9% to €183.9 million, the data of Q3 2021 was €191.3 million.
Adjusted net income, share of the parent company shareholders, reached €129.5 million, down 5.5% compared to €137.0 million in Q3 2021.
Adjusted EPS was €1.21, decreasing 3.2% from last Q3's €1.25.
