Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (WSGR), the premier provider of legal services to technology, life sciences, and growth enterprises worldwide, is pleased to announce an appointment of its new partner to support its London office.

The Silicon Valley law firm has appointed the former Checkout.com chief operations officer and general counsel-Joshua Kaplan, who will help WSGR support more fintechs with their North American expansion and fundraising plans. In other words, Kaplan has been brought on to further strengthen WSGR's now 13-strong London team of attorneys.

"Josh's addition to our London office further demonstrates Wilson Sonsini's commitment to supporting UK and European technology companies and investors—particularly as they look to compete and win in America," said Daniel Glazer, the founding partner of WSGR’s London office and head of its US expansion practice.

Glazer said the addition of Kaplan to the team would help more fintechs enter the US market by helping them navigate the complex local regulatory landscape.
