Exclusive: CFDs broker HTFX shuts down after losing CySEC, FCA licenses
FNG has learned that Far East-focused retail FX and CFDs broker HTFX has ceased operations globally. The group’s main website, htfx.com, now shows as being parked by domain registry GoDaddy.
Founded in 2018, HTFX was controlled by Chinese entrepreneur Lijun Li. At its peak, the group operated an FCA-licensed business in the UK for professional and institutional clients, a CySEC-licensed brokerage in Cyprus serving European clients, and an offshore retail brokerage based in Vanuatu focused on the greater Far East region.
HTFX renounced its CySEC CIF license earlier this year and lost its UK FCA license as of April 10, 2026. The UK operation was run for the past six years by Levy Benarroch, formerly COO of GCM Prime, and Stephen Williams.
The offshore Vanuatu business now appears to have been terminated as well, with the main htfx.com website taken down.
