Exclusive: Deutsche Bank Welcomes back Darren Boulos as Co-Head of APAC FX

Fazzaco learned that Deutsche Bank has welcomed back Darren Boulos as Co-Head of APAC FX based in Sydney.
Darren takes over from Lee Merchant as the latter has moved to London to serve as Global Head of FX Spot Trading.

Darren has a 30 plus years career in the FX industry. Before this new appointment, he acted as Head of FX Sales and Trading APAC in BNY Mellon for over 5 years. Prior to that, he once spent over 9 years at Deutsche Bank
serving as head of fixed income and currencies (FIC) in Sydney from 2006 to 2015.
Previously, Darren ever led FIC businesses in various well-known companies based across Sydney, Singapore, London and Tokyo. For example, he was Director at Credit Suisse (Singapore , Tokyo , London) from 1996 to 2005. Before that, he served as VP at HSBC (Sydney). Initially, he started career in ABN AMRO Bank N.V. in 1990.
Deutsche Bank's global head of FX Russell LaScala commented on Darren's returning: "As we continue to invest in areas where we see considerable opportunity, we look forward to having Darren re-join the team to help drive our leading GFX franchise across Asia Pacific, the growth engine for our bank.”
To Bolster its global FX in APAC, Deutsche Bank reportedly planed to appoint a co-head in that region to focus on the business with Boulos.
