Exclusive: Huobi Global Secures Cris D. Tran as Chief Strategy, Vietnam

Fazzaco learned that Huobi Global, a world-leading cryptocurrency exchange and blockchain-solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Cris D. Tran as its Chief Strategy, Vietnam.

Cris brings with more than 12 years' track-record of defining new business strategies, launching new ventures, and delivering operational impact. Ob his Linked profile, he described himself as an experienced strategist, corporate team player and start-up enthusiast with a passion for building businesses and challenging the status quo.

Cris currently serves as Chief Strategy & Growth Officer of M3TA, Managing Director of Viet Nam Startup Investment Fund (VNSIF), as well as Co-Founder of FAM Central. Before arriving at Huobi Global, Cris finished his time at Sovico Group, where he worked as Deputy CEO, GalaxyOne. Before this role, InfinitoDAX procured him as an Executive Board Director from January 2020 to April 2021. Asia Blockchain Review utilised his services as Principal Managing Partner from November 2018 to April 2021.

Additionally, since July 2018 he has been the Chief Executive Officer of Infinity Blockchain Ventures in Malaysia. Over the course of his career, Cris held many senior roles including his stint as Board Member of QRC Group and Infinity Blockchain Labs.

As Fazzaco reported earlier, Huobi Global has announced to acquire the Latin American cryptocurrency exchange Bitex​. The terms of the deal between Huobi and Bitex have not been disclosed.
