Exclusive: Saxo Bank Saw Slight Uptick in FX Trading Volume in June

Copenhagen's Saxo Bank has published its trading volumes for the month of June 2022, showing a slight increase in its FX trading volume.

According to the latest figures, the total trading volume for the month came in $398.8 billion, decreasing 5.4 percent on a month-to-month basis from May's $421.6 billion. Additionally, the total average daily volume in June was $18.1 billion, which was 5.7 percent lower than last month's $19.2 billion.
Saxo Bank reported that the average daily volume for forex trading in June was $6.9 billion and total FX trading volume for the month came in at $152.5 billion. That was a month-over-month increase of more than 1.9 percent compared to last month's $149.6 billion.
Moreover, commodities and equities markets saw a decline in demand, bringing a total of $38.7 billion and $192.1 billion in monthly volumes, respectively. In addition, fixed income market demand increased from the previous month's $10.7 billion to $15.6 billion.
Saxo Bank has announced major hires to ramp up its international growth plans. Last week, the broker has promoted Martin Christiansen as its Senior Director and Head of Partner Platforms.
