Broker - Jay Mawji Joins STARTRADER to Lead New Institutional Prime Services Arm
Jay Mawji, former CEO of CFDs broker INFINOX, has joined the Retail FX and CFDs brokerage group STARTRADER as the Chief Executive Officer of its newly launched institutional prime services business, STARprime.
STARprime is STARTRADER's new institutional product, focusing on offering liquidity and technology services to brokerages, funds, and fintech companies within the CFDs industry. STARprime will operate from its headquarters in Dubai, supported by regional offices globally.
Liquidity Provider - Advanced Markets Appoints Marko Jagustin as Chief Risk Officer
Advanced Markets, a provider of institutional FX liquidity and prime-of-prime services, has announced the appointment of Marko Jagustin as its new Chief Risk Officer (CRO). This addition is intended to enhance the firm's risk management framework and support its global growth initiatives.
Mr. Jagustin brings over 20 years of experience in trading, risk management, and liquidity provision to Advanced Markets. His previous leadership roles include Chief Trader at GAIN Capital's Forex.com, Chief Operating Officer at Finalto, and Head of Liquidity Provision at Exness.
Data Provider - CLS Appoints Two New Directors to Board
CLS, a provider of FX settlement services, announced the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors at its Annual General Meeting held on June 10, 2025. The new directors are Brigitte Daurelle, joining as an Independent/Outside Director, and Ryo Terazawa, representing MUFG Bank.
Broker - GTN Appoints Jon Lester as Chief Operating Officer for Middle East Operations
GTN, an institutional-focused multi-asset broker based in Dubai, has announced the appointment of Jon Lester as its new Chief Operating Officer - Middle East. Mr. Lester will be based in the UAE and will serve as the second-in-command to GTN UAE CEO Damian Bunce, who joined the company last year.
Jon Lester brings a long career in banking to his new role, with previous positions at institutions such as Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Standard Bank Group, and Nigeria's Bank PHB, where he served as COO of its UK operation. He also held senior roles in Russia, working for Renaissance Capital and Sberbank in Moscow from 2011 to 2016. Most recently, Mr. Lester was COO of Frontier Capital Group, an emerging market fixed income and money market investment firm in Abu Dhabi.
